Out Of The Blue-Turquoise is the perfect accent color for Spring

Turquoise is cool, calm and just right punch of color for Spring. As the weather heats up just a little (or at least it's supposed to-sorry NYC), turn up the heat with a classic blue that pops. A perfect match for all the soft colors and neutrals that headed down the runways for Spring 2010.

Kendra Scott Turquoise Danielle Earrings $60
These earrings scream for attention. No need for much else. Great with anything from a little black dress to a tank top and cutoffs.

Sleek and delicate with just a flash of color.
Aura Necklace, Banana Republic $45

I like that this ring has a vintage feel to it.

Very girly and feminine. Perfect for Spring!

A Blast From The Past

Do you mind if I head down memory lane this Friday? I stumbled across these videos and they really made me smile (and sing along). Can you keep a secret? My very first concert was The Time with special guests, New Edition and The Jets. I can remember dancing around in my oversized purple satin blazer with black polka dots with my friend Patrice and my dad like it was yesterday (don't even try to do the math). Speaking of The Jets, what ever happened to them ? Where ever they are they sure knew how to get the party started with this one...

Speaking of parties, what ever happened to the end of the night when they would throw on all the slow jams? I forgot this was actually one of Jet's hits. I still love this one. I feel sorry for anyone who's in the car with me when this song comes on.

Girls Gone Global

Well girls, Spring has officially sprung and I absolutely love the tribal/global trend. It's so easy to pull off the latest in Spring Break style with the right accessories. These accessories pull off a look that is so carefree, relaxed and simply exotic. Okay, now I want to on a vacation (Morrocco anyone?).

The Real DEAL on Denim Shorts

Happy Friday everyone! The weekend is back. You know what else is back (or never really went anywhere)?: America's weekend (warm weather) staple-denim cutoffs. This year's version can be paired with anything from a bohemian blouse and flats to a boyfriend blazer with gladiator heels (Daisy Duke would be so proud). One question though, what happened to everyone's scissors? I thought denim cutoffs were supposed to be made not bought (I'm just sayin').

True Religion Keira Cutoff Shorts $172.

*Quick Tip* Take a old pair of jeans (fitted, baggy, whatever) and cut your own to whatever length you desire (ultra short, just above the knee). After 5 minutes you're done. Throw them in the washing machine and dryer for that tattered effect. Don't have a pair of old jeans hit your local Goodwill and get a someone else's old pair for $5.

Marc by Marc Jacobs Vintage Wash Shorts $168.

J Brand Cutoff Shorts $165.

Flower Girl: Spring's Perfect Floral Dress

Welcome to another wonderful week! What am I so happy about on a Monday? Well, we're smack dab in the middle of March and boy am I ready for Spring (I was completely spoiled by the weather yesterday). And how do you welcome Spring and all it's sunny glory? I think it's best to show appreciation with flowers. You just can't beat a beautiful Spring floral dress.

Balance some of that floral sweetness by pairing with a boyfriend blazer or a casual denim jacket.

Pump Perfection

Lately, I've been on a search for the perfect classic pump. It's proven to be a lot harder than I thought until I saw these. These shoes have all the classic elements of a basic pump but add the edgy ankle strap and you can go from day to night or conservative to sexy in a snap. The key is the ankle strap is removable so the possibilities are endless. Now if I can just work on the price (come on Jimmy Choo work with me). Are they worth the splurge? I might just have to stalk these for a couple of months and see what happens.

Jimmy Choo Carter Ankle Strap Pump $745

Oscar's Monday Mash Up-the Good, the Bad and the Ugly

As if you needed another opinion about the Oscars, here's my two cents. Hey, you know what opinions are like, so who would I be if I didn't have one. There were so many horrible dresses last night it was difficult to choose but the award goes to...

Actually there's a three way tie!

Zoe Saldana in Givency
No Zoe, the joke's on you. I wish I could find a better picture that displayed the high front split that showcased Zoe's painfully skinny legs. Two things she may want to consider-firing/killing her stylist and eating a baked potato

Charlize Theron in Christian Dior
What in the lavender floral breasted hell! It wasn't a good night for the color purple. Tacky!

Sarah Jessica Parker in Chanel Couture
No, Carrie no! I'm sure Sex and City Fans around the world had to cover their eyes. Bad dress but even worst hair. Did she get in a fist fight before she hit the red carpet?

Like I said-the hair? I don't get it.

And the winner is...

Sandra Bullock in Marchesa
I loved the silhouette, sparkle and color of this gown. I thought her hair and makeup also were beautiful on her. Very fitting for an Oscar winner. Congrats!

What did you think?

Okay, Now I'm Hungry-Something Funny 4 Your Friday

Happy Friday! So, initially I wasn't going to post this video after I already saw it on BlackSnob.com but it was so damn funny I couldn't resist. Maybe because I'm so serious about my breakfast spots I feel such allegiance to this video. A good dinner is nice but in my opinion I can honestly say, nothing beats a good Brunch.

When I saw that you can actually buy t-shirts on the website webrunchhard.com to announce to the world you Brunch Hard, I starting thinking of a comeback video. I can just see a mob of people running through the Ritz Carlton's Sunday brunch in these.
Speaking of Brunch, I'm waiting for the new Ritz Carlton to open in Downtown LA. The Ritz always does a fabulous (but expensive) brunch. Any takers? I got a pair of drawstring sweat pants with your name on them.

Leave THIS to Lady Gaga and Beyonce

By THIS I mean the one piece leotard. Unless you're making your way onstage for the Grammys, American Music Awards, MTV Awards or any other award show I can think of that a recording artist would perform-never be caught dead in a leotard on the street. Although the leotard (or clothing in the leotard/brief family) pranced up and down the runway in Dolce and Gabbana's Fall 2010 show in Milan I can't help but wonder-What were they thinking? The good new is, Beyonce and Lady Gaga have endless wardrobe options coming up for Fall. You and me-not so much.

See if you find anything in Dolce and Gabbana's Fall 2010 collection you can actually wear here.

*Sigh*
